KNeW Process & No Briner

IChemE award-winning KNeW Process reuses the reagents and byproducts from our ZIX-Zak Ion Exchange water treatment system and transforms them into fertilizers and other beneficial products. Unlike Reverse Osmosis and other water treatment systems which leave brine streams and waste piles, Desalus facilities leave nothing behind. 

Existing water plants need not be left behind, however. With our No-Briner system we provide these same zero-waste capabilities to RO plants by pre-treating the feedwater to remove the calcium. This leaves only sodium sulphate or sodium chloride, reducing membrane scaling. We reuse the high-sodium RO brine to produce our fertilizers.
